How it startedWhen you talk about something in history first you need to look at where and how it started. In order to have Media bias you need the media to be created. This means that the media started mostly around the first media, which was newspapers. The first newspaper ever published was in Rome around 59 BC and in 1605 the first weekly newspaper was published in Antwerp called Relation. When you have newspapers that started this long ago you know that their is a long history of media bias that will affect our lives forever.

There are plenty of times where you will hear on the radio or TV about what big things are going on, and that has been going on forever, such as the election.
“The media are desperately afraid of being accused of bias. And that's partly because there's a whole machine out there, an organized attempt to accuse them of bias whenever they say anything that the Right doesn't like. So rather than really try to report things objectively, they settle for being even-handed, which is not the same thing. One of my lines in a column—in which a number of people thought I was insulting them personally—was that if Bush said the Earth was flat, the mainstream media would have stories with the headline: 'Shape of Earth—Views Differ.' Then they'd quote some Democrats saying that it was round.” ― Paul Krugman
